GBCE Appointed Sustainability Consultant for Nhà Estate, Philippe Starck's First Residential Project in Vietnam | Ho Chi Minh City, 30 March 2026

Green Building Consulting and Engineering (GBCE) attended the official launch of Nhà Estate in Ho Chi Minh City on 30 March 2026, marking a significant milestone in the project's development and in GBCE's growing portfolio across Southeast Asia.

Nhà Estate is a collection of 38 private villas designed by Philippe Starck, located on a peninsula between the Ray River and the South China Sea in Ho Tram, two hours from Ho Chi Minh City. The project represents the legendary designer's first residential work in Vietnam and has attracted international attention from publications including Architectural Digest, Domus, Designboom, and Sleeper Magazine.

GBCE has been appointed as sustainability consultant for Nhà Estate, supporting a holistic approach to sustainability that runs through every layer of the project. From the preservation of the natural landscape and water conservation strategies, to clean energy integration, responsible material selection, and a deeply human centric design philosophy, sustainability has been embedded into the project from its earliest conception. This integrated approach is being pursued in alignment with the LEED framework, one of the most rigorous international standards for green building.

"Nhà Estate investors have understood the multidimensional value of sustainability and are putting it into practice in this unique project," said Armelle Le Bihan, Founder and CEO of GBCE. "The sustainability concept has been embedded holistically from reducing the environmental impact of its design, construction and operations, creating a positive human experience to ensuring its infrastructure is designed to be resilient to future climatic patterns. Nhà Estate is a testimony that luxury and sustainability are two sides of the same coin."

The development sits on one of the few remaining pristine coastal stretches in southern Vietnam. The masterplan follows an organic layout shaped by the terrain, keeping the footprint porous and allowing vegetation, light, and sea breezes to move freely through the site. Each villa has been individually designed to integrate with the surrounding landscape, with stone foundations evoking ancient construction and expansive glazing opening each home to views of the water.

GBCE, headquartered in Bangkok, operates across Asia and Europe, advising developers, investors, and construction teams on green building strategy, certification, and sustainability integration from the earliest stages of design.
